Depot Doings: Blue Ridge, GA / Jasper, TN / Charleston, TN / Danville, KY

Today’s featured Southern Railway depots are Charleston, TN (1978) and Danville, KY (1980). Featured Louisville & Nashville Railway depot is Blue Ridge, GA. (1981) and NC&StL Railway depot is Jasper, TN (1980).

The Southern depot in Charleston, TN has been razed and replaced by a small brick building. The Southern depot in Danville, KY is still currently standing; I believe it is still being utilized by the Norfolk Southern Railroad. The NC&StL depot in Jasper, TN has been restored and currently houses Jasper’s City Hall. The L&N depot in Blue Ridge, GA has been restored and currently houses the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, a tourist short line railroad.

  1. Admiring the time and energy you put into your weblog and in depth details you offer. It is excellent to come across a weblog every once in a although that isn’t exactly the same old rehashed material. Wonderful read! I’ve bookmarked your web site and I’m adding your RSS feeds to my Google account. 127426
