“We will begin the tender truck conversion the second week of April at KRM. The conversation will be requiring the fabrication of lateral bearings that support the tender from the bolster. We are also fabricating an extension ring for the bowl to adjust the height on the new conversion trucks to meet those of current specs. Once we have completed those the tender will be lifted on both ends and the new trucks installed. I’m anticipating that we will complete those the third week of April. Rods will be removed the second week of May for crank pin and brass inspections. Rods will also be polished and sealed with Cosmoline.
The move date has not been set. However, we have some remaining work to be completed all through May and early June. We anticipate having all of the work for the move done by the second or third week of June.”
