My dad and brother worked on this ferry in the 1960’s. Dad..captain; brother..wheels man . It had its own engine, but later was converted to a barge. Alex Mackenzie
Hi Alex- my dad worked on a railroad car ferry that ran on the St Clair River between Port Huron and Sarnia around 1954-55. My great-grandmother lived in a house on the river in Port Huron and I vaguely recall watching the ferry go by from her backyard and my dad blowing the whistle upon seeing me standing on the break wall. I don’t remember the name of the ferry, though and I don’t have any photos of it.
